Needs may become available prior to or during each semester. Upon successful submission of your application, you will be considered for future part time opportunities on a per semester basis. If a need arises in the area in which you are qualified, you will be contacted.Position Summary:The Part time Digital Media Arts - Support/Student provides direct support to students and faculty during Digital Media Arts classes and/or outside of the classroom in Digital Media Arts labs / centers.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Proactively assist students with equipment, software, hardware, etc.• Participate in the up-keep and maintenance of lab / center areas and equipment.• Assist with equipment loans and inventory maintenance.• Report software, hardware, or equipment issues/concerns.• Replenish classroom and lab / center supplies as necessary.• Enforce classroom and lab / center policies.• Support faculty as needed.• Regular attendance on campus is required for this position.• Other duties as assigned.Hours/Schedule: This is a part time position that will work less than 20 hours per week-schedules can vary. Continuation of employment is reviewed at the end of each semester.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Knowledge of and experience with specific software, programs and equipment utilized within the classroom. • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse students of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds.• Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility and work enthusiastically with minimal supervision.• Demonstrated understanding of lab / center policies.• Strong public service commitment and positive attitude.If candidates do not meet the minimum qualifications for student employment then they will be classified as Support Staff.Additional Minimum Qualifications for Student Employment• Must be currently enrolled Washtenaw Community College student pursuing a certificate or degree within the assigned area.
