<p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain control over stock room, by issuing needed material to employees upon proper request, and to monitor quantities to be sure that needed parts do not get too low. Job also involves receiving incoming shipments from vendors and customers supplied inventory. </li><li>Receive and inspect purchased items to purchase order per the purchasing procedure. Pick up and/or deliver documents as directed. </li><li>Receive and issue items from stock. </li><li>Load and unload trucks using forklift equipment and/or crane. </li><li>Pack and prepare items and/or equipment for shipment. </li><li>Perform cycle counts and maintain stock records as directed. Requisition purchased items to maintain minimal stocking levels. </li><li>Maintain stockroom and work area in a clean and orderly fashion. </li><li>Maintain records of left over or returned material. </li><li>Other functions as directed. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities: None. May assist in training of temporary/new employees.</p> <p>Qualifications/Skills: Basic understanding of computer operating systems and PC applications (i.e. Microsoft Office, especially Excel). Possess accurate data entry skills.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <p>High School Diploma, and/or Equivalent. Minimum of 2 to 3 years of practical factory experience.</p> <p>Language Skills:</p> <p>Communicate verbally and/or in writing with other employees, other departments and supervision as to work in progress, problems and/or completion.</p> <p>Mathematical Skills:</p> <p>Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide basic numbers.</p> <p>Reasoning Ability:</p> <p>Be able to identify work process problems and possible solutions.</p> <p>Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:</p> <p>Lift truck operator</p> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>Stand for prolonged periods of time on concrete floor. Will be required to kneel, squat, stoop, recline, climb, crawl, and/or bend on an as needed basis. Must be able to adjust visual focus. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. unassisted, over 70 lbs. with assistance of a lifting device.</p> <p>Work Environment:</p> <p>Traditional shop atmosphere. Subject to temperature variance based on season. Loud noise level. May be exposed to various fumes or smells based on job.</p> <p>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Required to wear and/or use safety equipment/ devices based on position. Must be able to work O.T. on an extended basis up to 50-60 /wk total. 2nd. shift and/or 3rd. assignments may be required.</p>
