We encourage you to apply and become a valued member of our vibrant campus community today!</p> <p>JOB TITLE: Library Aide: Library Coach (Peer Mentor), UW Libraries</p> <p>JOB PURPOSE:</p> <p>The Research & Outreach Services Department (ROS) at UW Libraries is looking for enthusiastic, motivated students to join our Library Coach Team at Coe Library!</p> <p>As a Library Coach, you will be trained to support fellow students through one-on-one research help, assist librarians with classroom instruction, and contribute to the creation of helpful learning resources-----like tutorials, research guides, and social media content. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop your communication, tech, and leadership skills while making a real difference in the academic success of your peers.</p> <p>Staring rate $12.00/hour. Pay raise to $12.35 after successful completion of the first semester of employment.</p> <p>JFNTMP</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Use Canva and other multimedia tools to create library tutorials, guides, and social media content. </li><li>Support librarians with classroom instruction and student learning workshops. </li><li>Help plan and staff outreach events, tours, and other engagement efforts. </li><li>Answer library and research questions during scheduled coaching appointments. </li><li>Collaborate on special projects like the Personal Librarian Program, research guides, or assessment work. </li><li>Edit and improve online learning materials with a focus on accessibility and clarity. </li><li>Participate in ongoing training to develop research and information literacy skills. </li></ul> <p>Hours: 10-15 hours per week (flexible scheduling available)</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Current UW student with at least two semesters completed at UW by Spring 2026. </li><li>Completion of ENGL 1010 or similar research-focused course by Spring 2026. </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Comfortable working with students from diverse backgrounds. </li></ul> <p>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Previous customer service, mentoring, or peer support experience. </li><li>Experience using Canva or video software for educational (tutorials) or promotional content (social media). </li><li>Strong independent work ethic and ability to collaborate in team settings. </li><li>Interest in or experience with academic research. </li><li>Enthusiasm for promoting campus events, services, and resources. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED MATERIALS:</p> <p>Complete the online application and upload the following for a complete application:</p> <ul> <li>Cover letter that addresses your interest in the position and experience doing project research </li><li>Resume </li><li>At least 2 work or school-related references, AND </li><li>Upload a copy of your fall class schedule and other ongoing commitments and/or email them to the Hiring </li></ul> <p>Manager, Susan Schulz, at sschulz7@uwyo.edu.</p> <p>WORK LOCATION:</p> <p>On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work on campus.</p> <p>HIRING STATEMENT/EEO:</p> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
