<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Evening Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Come join our Patient Access team at Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England!</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <p>Bed Control Coordinator performs such duties of bed assignment and census management appropriate to maintain maximum utilization of beds for optimum patient care in accordance with established policies. Completes patient registrations/pre-registration processes following department procedures using identified technology systems. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information.</p> <p>What you will do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Monitor and coordinate placement of incoming admissions including elective, urgent, emergency, same-day surgical/medical patients and one-day admissions</p> </li><li> <p>Prioritize daily requests relevant to level of activity, availability of beds, emergency room status, non-scheduled direct emergency admissions, and critical care area needs</p> </li><li> <p>Process daily admissions and transfers in hospital system</p> </li><li> <p>Reconcile and process daily and monthly statistics for census management</p> </li><li> <p>Complete transfer of one-day patients requiring admission in hospital system by obtaining necessary diagnosis/reason for patient's admission</p> </li><li> <p>Process emergency room admissions through emergency transfer function in hospital system</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school education/GED or equivalent work experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in Admitting Department or related work area.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances.</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights and Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>40 Hours per Week - Full-Time - Evening Shift</p> </li><li> <p>Shift and weekend differentials will apply</p> </li><li> <p>Our Mission and Core Values</p> </li><li> <p>Great Benefits and Health Insurance Coverage - Starting Day 1</p> </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <p>Trinity Health Of New England is an integrated health care delivery system that is comprised of world-class providers and facilities dedicated to full spectrum preventative, acute, and post-acute care.
