They respond to all emergency situations in the water; administers any first aid needed by pool patrons; assists in maintaining a clean and safe aquatic environment and understand and enforce all rules and regulations of the facility.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>( Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to work well under general supervision and are reliable.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate competency in performing swimming skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate well verbally.</p> </li><li> <p>Enjoy working with children.</p> </li><li> <p>Be physically able to meet all demands of guard position.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to successfully complete swimming and rescue examinations as specified by the Aquatics Supervisor.</p> </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>One to two years of previous lifeguard experience. </li></ul> <p>LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION</p> <ul> <li> <p>Current lifeguard certification through the American Red Cross or ability to obtain upon hire.</p> </li><li> <p>CPR/AED for the professional rescuer certification through the American Red Cross.</p> </li><li> <p>Standard First Aid.</p> </li></ul> <p>LIFEGUARD CLASSES WILL BEGIN:</p> <p>August 8th - 10th</p> <p>Please upload your aquatic certifications to the application.
