Our mission is to Serve Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.</p> <p>The Nurse Administrator position is responsible for providing administrative support duties for the Nurse Executive in directing nursing activities for the Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center.</p> <p>Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Assists the Nurse Executive with the oversight of nursing operations for the Radcliff Veterans Center. </li><li>Provides reports or recommendations as needed or required to the Nurse Executive concerning nursing operations </li><li>Assists the Nurse Executive in the development, implementation and evaluation of facility policies, procedures, and guidelines on an annual and on-going basis. </li><li>Serves on multiple committees, participates in the selection, promotion and disciplining of nursing staff. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong Interpersonal Skills. </li><li>Professionalism. </li><li>Adaptability and Flexibility. </li><li>Self-Starter. </li><li>Compassionate. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION: See Special Requirements.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have three years of experience as a Registered Nurse.</p> <p>Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience.</p> <p>Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be licensed in Kentucky as a registered nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52116 https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53751 http://www.kbn.ky.gov/ Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
