In partnership with the University of Miami, Holtz Children's also trains the most pediatric physicians of any medical center in the southeastern United States.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Environmental Worker performs moderate to heavy manual work housekeeping tasks on an assigned shift in a healthcare setting. Employees in this classification perform manual work involving a variety of housekeeping tasks to assist in the maintenance of the area.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Vacuums or sweeps, mops and wet washes floors daily. </li><li>Cleans the assigned patient and non-patient care areas. </li><li>Collects and transports trash, cleans and relines trash containers with plastic bags, in accordance with daily work schedule. </li><li>Maintains responsibility for the following duties: - filling soap, paper towels and toilet paper dispensers. - emptying sharp boxes. - placing gowns in designated storage areas as needed. - defrosting and cleansing of assigned refrigerators on a bi-week schedule. </li><li>Responsible for daily dusting of all counter tops and shelves inside/outside, also wiping of cabinets. </li><li>Completes all cleaning of discharge patient units, as vacancies occur. </li><li>Daily monitoring of the delivery of laundry for assigned units. </li><li>Utilizes detergents, disinfectants, polishes, finishes, etc.in accordance with established guidelines. </li><li>Cleaning for all isolates, warmers, IMED pumps, monitors, bill lights and any other related equipment used upon patients' discharge. Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise). </li><li>Performs all other related job duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <p>Generally, requires 0 to 3 years of related experience.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>High School diploma is strongly preferred.</p> <p>Skill</p> <p>Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
