<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Toy Design department is recruiting a pool of applicants for possible adjunct teaching positions. Successful candidates will teach one or more of the following courses:</p> <ul> <li>Introduction to Toy Design </li><li>Drafting and Technical Drawing </li><li>Advanced Hard Toy: Design & Engineering </li><li>Advanced Computer Graphics in Toy Design </li></ul> <p>Adjunct instructors deliver relevant course material, assess student performance, provide guidance and assistance to students both in and out of the classroom, and submit grades on time. Course descriptions are available in the online catalog.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Candidates must have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree </li><li>Relevant 6 years of industry experience and or its equivalent. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>At least one year of teaching experience at the college level. </li><li>Master of Fine Arts degree or equivalent. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to instruct and ensure the safe use of tools and machinery and successfully communicate conceptual ideas for class projects through lectures and visual presentations. </li><li>Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Solid Works and 3D Printing. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>This is a part-time position, adjunct teaching position beginning in Fall 2025. Review of applications will commence immediately and continue until the position is filled. The department will keep this posting open to create a pool of candidates for potential future adjunct assignments. The department will contact applicants whose qualifications fit our programmatic needs.</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) governs the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment.</p> <p>$87.14 per hour based on minimum qualifications. Certain roles may be required to handle machinery and chemicals.
