<p>Job Title: Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technician to join our team, responsible for managing essential logistics and warehouse operations. This role involves ensuring the efficient transportation and organization of goods, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Pick up eggs from farms and unload them at the packing and shipping facility. </li><li>Assist with warehouse operations including receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, picking and packing orders, and staging shipments. </li><li>Perform inventory updates, basic recordkeeping, and periodic cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels. </li><li>Transport intra-company mail, supplies, and materials between company sites and vendor locations as needed. </li><li>Adhere to strict Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations for entering the designated screening area of the packing and shipping facility and for transporting screened cargo. </li><li>Perform regular safety checks on the vehicle. </li><li>Clean and disinfect trucks per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and/or management specifications. </li><li>Follow all company guidelines, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, biosecurity procedures, and safety requirements. </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and work environment. </li><li>Regularly operate pallet jacks, forklifts, lift gates, and dock plates. </li><li>Provide backup coverage for weekday delivery routes and transportation duties when the primary driver is unavailable. </li><li>Perform all other related duties as assigned. </li><li>Must be able to work weekend shifts. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Attention to detail. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook. </li><li>Experience with delivery routes. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education: High school diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent. </li><li>Experience: At least 1 year of experience in warehouse, material handling, or delivery. </li><li>An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute. </li><li>Certification/Licensure: Valid driver's license and DOT medical clearance required. </li><li>Other: Clean driving record. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment involves regular driving of a box truck and exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to sanitizing chemicals and must drive in all types of weather and road conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
