<p>Supervision Exercised:</p> <p>Provides direction to staff in regards to patient care</p> <p>General Summary:</p> <p>Educate and advise patients, diagnose and treat health problems, and provide general health care under the direction of the physician</p> <p>Works under the supervision of the attending physician(s)</p> <p>Principal Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <p>Example of Essential Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Obtain comprehensive patient histories. </li><li>Perform physical examinations. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li> <p>Diagnose and treat health care and chronic diseases.</p> </li><li> <p>Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as lab work and x-rays.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess patients. Develop and implement treatment plans approved by physician.</p> </li></ol> <ul> <li>Promotes positive health behaviors and self-care skills through education and counseling. </li><li>Administer medication upon order of physician. </li></ul> <ol start="7"> <li>Collaborate with physicians as needed. </li></ol> <p>Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):</p> <ol start="8"> <li> <p>Other treatments and/or procedures after consulting with or under the supervision of the physician.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Active Physician Assistant License from the Ohio State Medical Board </li><li>Knowledge of Physician Assistant theory, practice and medical care, medical equipment and instruments, and OSHA regulations. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to analyze and determine solutions in order to best serve the patients. </li><li>Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame. </li><li>CPR required. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree and licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Ohio </li></ul>
