Give every player equal attention and playing time, regardless of skill level. Must be familiar with volleyball rules, regulations, terminology, and gameplay.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience working with middle school students. </li><li>Previous experience playing volleyball </li><li>Previous coaching experience preferred. </li><li>Teach basic to advanced fundamentals and skills during practices and games (3 touch game play, serving, rotation, and substitution) </li><li>Maintaining the care of athletic equipment and proper storage. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Teach Fundamental volleyball skills and game strategies including:</p> </li><li> <p>3 touch game play - Bump/Set/Spike</p> </li><li> <p>Serving -underhand/overhand</p> </li><li> <p>Rotation</p> </li><li> <p>Substituting</p> </li><li> <p>Instruct players in the rules, regulations and technique of the sport.</p> </li><li> <p>Organize daily practices activities and game plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Emphasize team work, good sportsmanship and appropriate sports participant behaviors.</p> </li><li> <p>Models appropriate behavior towards players, officials and spectators.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide a supportive environment during practices and games ensuring equal attention and game time for players regardless of skill level</p> </li><li> <p>Track participant attendance during practices and games including ensuring parent pick-up or busing for participants.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining the care of athletic equipment and proper storage.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in officiating if needed</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Middle School Co-curricular Coordinator to prepare facilities for all home games and practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Middle School Co-Curricular Coordinator</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.</p>
