This position involves guiding students in developing foundational skills, knowledge, and attitudes, and building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff members. The teacher is responsible for creating individualized learning opportunities that meet the needs and abilities of all students. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Listed below are the essential tasks performed to achieve the purpose of this job. Job Tasks Descriptions Frequency % of time Instruction & Curriculum Delivery <ul> <li> Plan and deliver lessons aligned with state and local standards. </li><li> Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students. </li><li> Regularly assess and report on academic and social growth. </li></ul> D 35% Classroom Management <ul> <li> Establish and maintain a structured, respectful classroom environment conducive to learning. </li><li> Implement classroom behavior management strategies to ensure a positive and productive classroom culture. </li></ul> D 15% Collaboration & Communication <ul> <li> Work closely with administration and colleagues to support district goals and policies. </li><li> Communicate with parents regarding student progress and involve them in their child's education. </li><li> Be available outside the school day for education-related activities as needed. </li></ul> D 15% Administers assessments in accordance with the District's balanced assessment framework approved by the Board of Education and/or required by the State of Colorado, and maintains accurate, complete, and appropriate records as required by law, District policy, and administrative regulation. Q 5% Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. D 15% Assists in the selection and requisition of appropriate instructional materials; maintains required inventory records, participates in curriculum development and implementation, and plans and supervises purposeful assignments for teacher assistant(s) and volunteer(s). A 5% Collaborates with colleagues to identify and address students' academic, social, and emotional needs. Communicates regularly with parents about student progress and encourages their active involvement in the learning process. Makes time outside of school hours to be available for student and parent support as needed.
