<p>The Vice President of Institutional Business Development is accountable for identifying, soliciting, and generating new sales revenue from institutional prospects through selective and full outsourcing partnerships. This senior-level sales professional possesses a broad understanding of the retirement plan recordkeeping industry, strong networking skills, and the ability to work strategically to cultivate relationships with executives at prospect organizations and secure new institutional partner relationships.</p> <p>There is only one position. It can be remote in lower 48 states or Hybrid at one of our major locations.</p> <p>Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Identify institutional prospects; qualify, evaluate and sell the potential opportunity to executive decision-makers at prospect organizations</p> </li><li> <p>Develops and executes a plan for capitalizing on potential opportunities</p> </li><li> <p>Helps potential partners with solutions to address their needs</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to learn and clearly promote multiple platform/product solutions</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with the institutional marketing team to promote selective and full outsourcing capabilities</p> </li><li> <p>Tracks and reports on sales and marketing activities</p> </li><li> <p>Leads and coordinates responses to RFPs and SDRs as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Team-oriented, collaborative approach including partnering with executive leadership to formalize new institutional partnerships</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse set of business unit leaders, including but not limited to executive leadership within sales & operations, and all other stakeholders</p> </li><li> <p>Develops trusted-partner relationships across the retirement plan industry ecosystem</p> </li><li> <p>Attends company and industry conferences</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of key competitors with the ability to highlight our competitive advantages without "negative selling"</p> </li><li> <p>Understands marketplace trends, ensures Ascensus is appropriately positioned</p> </li><li> <p>Driven to win: proactive and self-motivated</p> </li><li> <p>Remains current on industry, technical and product knowledge</p> </li><li> <p>Completes management reports, expense reports and other special tasks as requested</p> </li><li> <p>Support and partner with the operations and product leaders to empower efficient processes to develop and deliver exceptional products and partner solutions</p> </li><li> <p>Works under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of urgency and accuracy</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our partners.</p> </li><li> <p>Embody Ascensus Core Values of People Matter, Quality First and Integrity Always on a day-to-day basis</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Supervision</p> <ul> <li>N/A </li></ul> <p>Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 10 years of experience in the retirement plan industry</p> </li><li> <p>Proven successful sales experience of retirement plan recordkeeping and administrative services</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, unsupervised environment</p> </li><li> <p>Strong, in-depth ERISA and retirement plan knowledge</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent written and oral communication skills</p> </li></ul> <p>We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Be aware of employment fraud.
