Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Novelis has approximately 13,000 employees in 32 operating facilities on 4 continents.</p> <p>Responsibilities & Qualifications</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains a safe working environment by complying with Novelis HSE standards and policies, all state and federal regulations, and company policies and procedures. </li><li>Operate a variety of mobile equipment including, but not limited to; forklift, skid steer, overhead crane. </li><li>Coordinate and carry out various tasks as assigned by management. </li><li>Perform repetitive tasks and assist others to provide an organized and clean workplace including assigned areas of the plant, workstations, equipment, walkways and locker rooms. </li><li>Notify appropriate personnel of irregularities in operating equipment or materials; maintain clean and orderly conditions in work area. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. </li><li>Be able to safely work alone or as part of a team, capable of self-direction. </li><li>Basic computer and math skills are required. </li><li>Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen </li><li>Ability to work as scheduled (including overtime, weekends and holidays) to support our 24/7 operations </li><li>Dependable, team-player who can demonstrate initiative. </li><li>Must have basic knowledge of hand tools and possess a mechanical aptitude. </li><li>Must be flexible as job focus and assignments may change daily and by the hour. </li></ul> <p>Location Profile</p> <p>Opened in 1985 the Uhrichsville facility produces flat rolled aluminum coil. The Recycling mill prepares scrap aluminum that is used in the rolling mill to create rolled aluminum coils to a desired gauge. Anneals temper the aluminum then it is leveled and sized to customer specification.
