<p>Bonnell Aluminum seeks a results-oriented and highly organized Cost Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Plant Controller, the cost accountant will play a key role in cost accounting management and oversight by preparing accurate and timely financial reports and assisting with various cost accounting tasks.</p> <p>This hands-on position offers exposure to many aspects of plant operations and the opportunity to work closely with Plant leadership. Demonstrating strong time management and prioritization skills is crucial in this role.</p> <p>What You'll Be Responsible For:</p> <p>Cost Accounting and Analysis:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare accurate and timely costing reports and statements. </li><li>Reconcile assigned asset and liability accounts in a timely manner. </li><li>Develop solutions to resolve and improve costing activities. </li><li>Contribute and engage actively in the financial close process. </li><li>Independently compile and analyze financial information to analyze cost data. </li><li>Ensure transactions are in accordance with GAAP and internal policies and procedures are followed. </li><li>Cost of goods sold reporting and analysis; cost variance analysis (scrap, rework, etc.). </li><li>Work closely with Purchasing and Manufacturing to ensure proper costing procedures. </li><li>Provide reports and analysis with a focus on cost improvement measures. </li><li>Maintain material cost reporting (metal roll forward). </li><li>Standard machine/press costing. </li></ul> <p>Other:</p> <ul> <li>Support the Plant Manager and Plant Controller in the Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting processes. </li><li>Ensure validity and accuracy of financial data. </li><li>Participate in and lead Costing duties for an Oracle ERP software implementation project. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need to Have:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. </li><li>At least 3 years' manufacturing accounting experience. </li><li>At least 3 years of experience with standard costing. </li><li>Proven MS Excel data analysis ability to support and drive business decisions. </li><li>Creativity and ability to implement changes. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral. </li><li>Demonstrates a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills </li><li>Experience with Oracle or other ERP system </li><li>Experience with an ERP system implementation </li></ul> <p>What You'll Love About Us:</p> <ul> <li>Components of our Core: SAFETY; INTEGRITY; RESPECT; CELEBRATION; COMMUNICATION; TRUST; DIVERSITY; and ACCOUNTABILITY </li><li>We're People Leaders </li><li>Competitive Salary </li><li>Employee Benefits: </li><li>Paid Vacation </li><li>Medical, Dental, Life, 401 K </li><li>Tuition Reimbursement </li></ul>
