In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide instruction in swim and serve as a lifeguard at assigned swimming facilities. You'll teach swim skills at all levels and supervise the conduct of swimmers in order to maintain health and safety standards.</p> <p>See the full job description here: https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/berkeley/classspecs/753660</p> <p>A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is: </p> <p>A minimum of two (2) summer/seasons in lifeguard or swim-instruction experience in the organized recreational or educational program dealing with swim instruction, lifeguarding, or coaching.</p> <p>Other requirements include possession of a valid Water Safety Instruction card which requires an Advanced Life-Saving Certificate and successful completion of first-aid and CPR training. </p> <p>Applications must be received by Monday, October 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM PST and must include a completed application, all required attachments listed below, and responses to any supplemental questions.
