<p>Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist handles timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices while supporting the Finance and Accounting departments.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Matches and enters supplier invoices in a timely manner while maximizing all discounts </li><li>Verifies receipt of all materials and services </li><li>Works with vendors as well as with other internal departments on resolving problem invoices </li><li>Insures proper GL coding </li><li>Assists with sorting and processing of e-mails from the general Accounts Payable inbox </li><li>Reconcile monthly vendor statements </li><li>Assists in advanced tasks as part of training and development </li><li>Contributes to team by identifying areas of improvement </li><li>Provides support to Finance and Accounting departments as needed </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Detail-oriented </li><li>Works well within a team and independently </li><li>Proficiency with Excel and Word </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent w/0-1 years' experience </li></ul>
