<p>The Visual Communications Program at Ivy Tech Community College South Bend provides students, faculty, and the public with a gallery website and social media showcasing student and professional work, events, information and communications. The Web & Social Media Paraprofessional's position is critical in maintaining and updating this content.</p> <p>a. Manage website/blog:</p> <p>Edit information needed throughout the site</p> <p>Add event blogs as needed</p> <p>Maintain a virtual gallery</p> <p>Perform continuous enhancements and modifications</p> <p>Troubleshoot and repair bugs and technical problems</p> <p>Act as liaison with server vendor</p> <p>b. Manage social media-Facebook, Instagram, Linked In etc.:</p> <p>Post gallery events</p> <p>Post relevant happenings around campus and in the Michiana area</p> <p>Network and build followers</p> <p>Track posts and engagement</p> <p>Boost posts</p> <p>c. Assist with gallery events and community engagement</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Adobe Creative Cloud. Web programming and/or WIX. Portfolio Some college or community experience in a software development or visual communications field</p> <p>SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Asst. Program Chair, Program Chair, or Dean</p> <p>SUPERVISION GIVEN: None</p> <p>Compensation: $18.72</p> <p>Up to 20 hours per week.</p> <p>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to the area of instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction.
