We provide a variety of life spanning services and supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities supporting them to lead their best life.</p> <p>What's your day like?</p> <p>As a key member of the Senior Management Team at the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, the Director of Residential Services plays a crucial role in overseeing the administration, planning, and success of community-based residential services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This leadership position ensures compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, safety standards, and agency policies, while also formulating and recommending impactful policies to the Executive Management Team. By managing the budget and monitoring program expenditures, you will uphold financial stability within the residential program, ensuring that individuals with developmental disabilities have the chance to lead extraordinary lives filled with dignity and respect. Additionally, you will provide direct supervision to the department Team Leads while promoting a culture of professionalism and person-centered practices. Through your commitment to continuous learning and strategic planning, you will implement innovative practices that enhance service delivery and foster collaboration across departments, ultimately benefiting the people we serve.</p> <p>Are you a good fit for this Director of Residential Services job?</p> <p>To thrive as the Director of Residential Services at the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, a blend of education and experience in human services is essential. A Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of seven years of relevant education and experience is required, while a Master's degree is preferred. Candidates should possess a minimum of four years of professional experience working directly with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as four years of demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience within the I/DD field. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for program management and reporting is crucial for effective operations.</p> <p>Strong problem-solving abilities, empathy, and a commitment to customer-centricity will help you navigate challenges and enhance service quality.
