<p>Amerhart, an SBP company is currently hiring for a Shipping and Receiving Manager in our Sheboygan Falls, WI facility. A Shipping and Receiving Manager position has a wide variety of responsibilities including the supervision of warehouse personnel, drivers, and warehousing of inventory, and the administrative detail associated with running the warehouse.</p> <p>Key Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</p> <p>Manages Warehouse, Employees, and Equipment</p> <ul> <li>Recruit and select candidates for hire in warehouse and driver positions. </li><li>Assign shipping and receiving tasks to warehouse team members. </li><li>Monitor work to ensure conformance to established work standards to include meeting deadlines, maintaining a high level of accuracy, meeting customer expectations and safety practices. </li><li>Answer questions and concerns raised by team members to resolve work-related challenges that may be present. </li><li>Order warehouse and other supplies, tarps, and belts. </li><li>Ensure that the warehouse grounds are neat and orderly. </li><li>Replace and repair equipment and other tools as needed. </li><li>Align and lead team members to meet SQDC goals! </li><li>Manage the Warehouse Management Solution (WMS) </li><li>Develop and implement training related to WMS (Warehouse Management Solution) (i.e. videos, guides). </li><li>Travel as needed to support ongoing and new initiatives including WMS, building modifications, equipment maintenance and purchase, Safety meetings, training. </li><li>Coordinate with the operations management team to make sure all branches have adequate inventory on operations related supplies (i.e. RMA Labels). </li><li>Assist WMS director to ensure their inventory submissions are run daily and inventory issues are resolved. </li><li>Manages Cycle count program to meet requirements. </li><li>Assist in implementation of WMS system where needed. </li></ul> <p>Supervision of Driver Staff</p> <ul> <li>Dispatch loads to drivers in a fair and equitable manner keeping loads delivered on schedule. Arrange truck routes in such a way as to maximize pay loads and minimize delivery costs. Assign back-hauls. </li><li>Monitor work to ensure conformance to established work standards to include meeting deadlines, maintaining a high level of accuracy and meeting customer expectations. </li><li>Train new employees in driver functions and processes. Include in the training effective ways to handle material to minimize and/or eliminate damage to the goods. </li><li>Monitor driver's paperwork to ensure that the work is properly completed and meets mandated requirements. </li><li>Provide direction in the event of accident and/or emergency. Contact proper authorities in a timely way. Communicate serious situations with the President. Work with branch managers in resolving related matters. </li><li>Ensure that Amerhart, Ltd. complies with the employees' "Right-to-know" act to include such things as completing and distributing safety sheets on specific products. Also, the commercial DOT rules and regulations and OSHA requirements. </li></ul> <p>Performance of Miscellaneous Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Supervise stock rotation in accordance with established standards for moving material. </li><li>Attending management meetings and other related meetings and training sessions to be better informed, communicate about current happenings within operations, make improvements, etc. </li><li>Safety Committee </li><li>Conduct and facilitate employee training on applicable safety standards. </li><li>Conduct safety inspection audits and ensure issues are being resolved in a timely fashion. </li></ul> <p>Personal Attributes and Skills</p> <ul> <li>High attention to detail. </li><li>Self-starter with the ability to show initiative, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines. </li><li>Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills internally and externally. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma, HSED or equivalent experience. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of post-high school education in material management field preferred or 10 years of experience in a relevant field. </li><li>Strong mathematical skills. </li><li>Experience working with Microsoft Office applications preferred. </li><li>Prior Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Operations experience a plus. </li></ul> <p>Specialty Building Products is the leading distributor of specialty building products in North America.
