<p>16257BR</p> <p>FTE: 1.0</p> <p>Shift: Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p</p> <p>Compensation: $18.32+</p> <p>Hours Per Week: 40</p> <p>Weekends: No</p> <p>Benefit Eligible</p> <p>Schedule: Weekdays, day shift.</p> <p>The Financial Clearance Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that Meriter's Financial Clearance process is fully complete so that our organization secures optimal reimbursement for services. Employees in this role verify that patient and insurance information is obtained and documented in Epic through activities that may include coverage verification, eligibility verification, benefit collection, and authorization procurement. Financial Clearance Coordinators share some responsibilities with Referral & Authorization Specialists; however, their primary responsibility is to produce a patient estimate for hospital services. They also are responsible for notifying patients of their estimated out-of-pocket costs, requesting, and accepting pre-payment as well as referring them to Patient Financial Coordinators as appropriate. This role works closely with Patient Registrars, Referral & Authorization Specialists and Patient Financial Coordinators to ensure that all payment sources are secured, and patients counselled prior to receiving services.</p> <p>This is a remote position, but will require an initial 2-weeks of training on-site in Madison, WI.</p> <p>Why UnityPoint Health - Meriter?</p> <p>At UnityPoint Health, you matter.
