<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>This position is located at all four clinical locations of the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Waccamaw Center for Mental Health: 164 Waccamaw Medical Park Drive, Conway, SC 29526, 525 Layfette Street, Georgetown, SC 29440, 9630 Scipio Lane, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588 and 501 Nelson Blvd, Kingstree, SC 29556.</p> <p>The Office of Mental Health's mission is to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses. We provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.</p> <p>As a Program Manager II, you will serve as Chief of Staff to the Executive Director of WCMH and will function as the Executive Director's designee and Performance Improvement Director for the Center. Supervises all clinics, clinical and assistance clinical directors, Data Miner, CAF Coordinator and staff training and development. Serve as a Risk Manager for WCMH catchment area (Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties). Member of the WCMH Executive, Management Team and act as Board Liaison. Will be expected to provide other duties to the Board as directed by Board and Executive Director.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Program Manager II include:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Executive Director (ED) in the day-to-day operations of WCMH and functions as the ED designee in the ED's absence. </li><li>Create and monitor the implementation of policies and procedures relating to the mission of the Center and OMH. </li><li>Supervise the daily operations of the clinics in the catchment area of Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties. </li><li>Responsible for the direct supervision of four (4) clinic directors, CAF coordinator and Data Miner. </li><li>Will work closely with Clinical Directors and Supervisors to coordinate and implement children's services programs to include School Mental Health Programs. </li><li>Oversee and monitor Out-of-Home Placements (OOHP) collaborating with local community partners regarding placement of children (DJJ, DSS, Family Courts). </li><li>Supervise telehealth therapist and Alliance position. </li><li>Serve as Risk Manager for the entire Center operations ensuring proper policies and procedures are followed. </li><li>Collect and analyze data, implement Performance Improvement teams for Center identified needs, consult with staff and managers to improve processes, protocols and outcomes. </li><li>Act as center's lead/point person in determining and implementing processes to accomplish the MTM OMH objectives; collaborative documentation, no show management, and setting/meeting productivity standards of the Center. </li><li>Coordinate student interns and volunteer program maintaining updated affiliation agreements with all institutions, including managing background checks, orientation of interns and volunteers, facilitate liaison activities and consultation with community agencies while enhancing relationships to assist in program collaboration. </li><li>Provide clinical services as needed to support quality clinical operation. </li><li>Maintain documentation of charts and other records in accordance with State, Federal, Local, OMH, WCMH, Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance and CARF standards. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in guidance, counseling or social sciences and five (5) years of responsible experience in mental health programs. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Be able to meet OMH credentialing requirements which include graduate course work including Psychopathology, Psychopathology Diagnostics/Clinical Assessment-Practice with Family Therapy (DSM) and Medical Ethics. </li><li>Must be able to show evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care. This experience maybe documented as a practicum, internship or post-graduate clinical experience. </li><li>Ability to lift up to thirty (30) pounds; ability to see, hear at normal volumes, stand, walk, pull, stoop, bend and climb at least two (2) flights of stairs. </li><li>Position is considered essential and may be called back during crisis/disasters/emergencies. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>License preferred with post-Masters experience in a clinical setting. Licensure can include LPC, LPC-S, LMFT, LMSW or LISW. </li><li>Bilingual abilities in English or Spanish (or another language) is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>Post Hire, Employee Must:</p> <ul> <li>Be able to provide 10-year DMV driving records </li><li>Be able to sue a state vehicle for work related purposes or have their own reliable vehicle. </li><li>Be able to provide at TB test with a negative result conducted in the last 90 days before start of employment </li><li>Participate in on-going in-service training and other education opportunities in order to maintain and/or acquire necessary skills. </li><li>Be able to exercise discretion in interpreting and applying establish objectives, policies and procedures. </li><li>Have working knowledge of mental health legal principles and practices of methods, principles and practices of clinical counseling and educational services, considerable knowledge of psychopathology and patient management in psychiatric setting, working knowledge of basic health and welfare services. </li><li>Be able to effectively plan, coordinate and manager complex treatment and to conduct detailed investigations, draw conclusions and recommend required actions </li></ul> <p>The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions including, but not limited, to lactation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.</p> <p>Supplemental questions are considered part of your official application.
