Public transportation options and well-maintained roads make commuting straightforward.</p> </li></ul> <p>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prepares patients and assembles and operates hemodynamic equipment during interventional cardiac procedures for diagnosis of heart disease.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists physician in performing invasive procedures and performs related radiographic/fluoroscopic imaging such as administering contrast to demonstrate catheter location and position, and documents results.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors and alerts team of life threatening changes in patient status and responds with assistance during emergency procedures (including CPR and defibrillator when required).</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures as a scrub assistant with competent knowledge of equipment and supply options.</p> </li><li> <p>Enters patient and study information into the radiology information system, and documents billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges.</p> </li><li> <p>Processes images as directed and accurately identifies and labels images, identifying patient name, medical record, and location/position of scans.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures that images are of diagnostic quality and assists biomed in evaluating digital equipment to maintain consistent image quality</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associate's degree in radiologic sciences or 24-month AMA-approved radiographic technologist program</p> </li><li> <p>Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), RT (R) or RCIS</p> </li><li> <p>American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)</p> </li><li> <p>ACLS within 3 months of hire</p> </li><li> <p>Current State of Wisconsin license as radiographer</p> </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance</p> </li><li> <p>Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties</p> </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers</p> </li><li> <p>May be exposed to communicable diseases when working in a healthcare setting</p> </li><li> <p>Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments</p> </li><li> <p>Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electric shock</p> </li><li> <p>Occasional high noise level</p> </li></ul> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours:</p> <p>32</p> <p>Scheduled FTE:</p> <p>0.8</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>ThedaCare Regional Medical Center - Appleton - Appleton,Wisconsin</p> <p>Overtime Exempt:</p> <p>No</p>
