<p>Caseworker B - Intake</p> <p>Employment Type: 0 - Full-time Regular</p> <p>Pay Range: $62,092.00 - 93,138.00</p> <p>Location: Highlands Ranch, CO or Castle Rock, CO</p> <p>Overtime Exempt: Y</p> <p>Elected Office / Department: HUMAN SERVICES</p> <p>Performs full performance level intensive case work services including case management, referral, placement, and assessment/evaluation which requires independent judgment and a significant understanding and application of professional principles and department standards.</p> <p>Generally, the hiring range is $62,092 - $77,615 annually. View the full Employee Benefits Guide</p> <p>View the full job description here</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Performs case management activities involving complex, difficult, and complicated problems/cases, assess for safety and risk of individuals and families and develops an appropriate service and/or treatment plans, provides on-going counseling and referral services, and determines appropriate placement actions. </li><li>Conducts initial needs assessment, ascertains nature and extent of complaint, severity of problems, and potential dangers to individual/family, and elicits information to determine client's/family's medical, employment, economic, educational, and emotional history. </li><li>Reviews case records for client/family profiles, socio-economic history, financial and social problems, individual perspectives and perceptions, attitudes, behavioral, medical, and other factors, observes interactions of client and family members, and evaluates social information concerning families with unusual or chronic social services problems. </li><li>Develops and implements a treatment plan to provide a variety of social services referrals and to define goals and objectives, determines need for social, behavioral, medical, and/or, psychological services, provides crisis intervention, refers clients to support agencies, and monitors individual and family progress, cooperation, and acceptance of services. </li><li>Serves as a member of an interdisciplinary team, participates in defining, establishing, and implementing treatment goals and plans, and provides and group work services. </li><li>Establishes, maintains, and coordinates services and activities with relevant community agencies, monitors and evaluates activities of agencies contracted to provide a variety of social services, and evaluates progress of placements and/or other services. </li><li>Represents the department in accordance with Title 19 of the Colorado Children's Code and Volume 7. </li><li>Prepares case records, reports, and documents and complies with state and federal standards in providing case documentation in the Colorado Trails system. Drives a vehicle to various locations on County business, must maintain a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. </li><li>Testifies in court by providing expert and non-expert testimony and prepares comprehensive reports that all the court to make findings and recommendations that affects court-ordered treatment plans. </li><li>Participates in after-hours and holiday coverage as needed and designated by the supervisor. Though this is not a consistent requirement, it could be required if coverage for the designated after-hours caseworkers is needed. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree from a higher education institution with course work related to the job responsibilities of child welfare social caseworker. Course work examples can include and are not limited to, the development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures, or therapeutic techniques. </li><li>At least one year of related professional, internship, or volunteer work experience in a human services related agency. </li><li>A combination of education and experience may be considered. </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License upon hire, with complying insurance. Review of motor vehicle record is required at time of hire and periodically throughout employment.</p> </li><li> <p>This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check including fingerprinting through a national database</p> </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:</p> <p>Closing Date: 6/13/2025 5:59PM MST. This may mean being available to perform additional duties and hours beyond what is normally required. In the event that an exempt employee does work more than 40 hours a week in support of County operations during an emergency, such employee may receive overtime or other appropriate wage compensation in accordance with existing County policies or at the discretion of the County.</p>
