<p>WDAF-TV/FOX4 Kansas City is seeking a Reporter for Morning News. The reporter presents news stories and other content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers. This role places a premium on delivering dynamic live reports over a wide range of topics.</p> <p>o Produce content for multiple platforms, including TV, digital, and streaming</p> <p>o Work with management to enterprise and develop stories daily</p> <p>o Demonstrate compelling storytelling using dynamic live shots and stand-ups, creative graphics, and use of digital and social media platforms</p> <p>o Organize material, determine angle or emphasis, and write story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards</p> <p>o Gather and verify information regarding stories through interviews, observation, and research</p> <p>o Build network of sources who supply information that allows FOX4 to stay ahead of its competitors</p> <p>o Demonstrate versatility and show range - from breaking and hard news to community-focused features</p> <p>o Performs special projects and other duties as assigned</p> <p>Requirements & Skills:</p> <p>o Bachelor's degree in Communication/Journalism or related degree required (equivalent years of experience may substitute for education)</p> <p>o Two years of experience as a reporter or MMJ</p> <p>o Dynamic on-camera presence, quality vocal delivery, and clear enunciation</p> <p>o Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and organizational skills</p> <p>o Promote teamwork and maintain an attitude of cooperation with all station personnel</p> <p>o Operate newsroom computer systems</p>
