<p>Sports Information Director (SID)</p> <p>Open Date:7/22/2025 Status:Accepting Applications Job Code:25-STU-295</p> <p>Current Opening</p> <p>Mount Aloysius College, repeatedly recognized by ModernThink as a "Great College to Work For, invites detail-oriented applicants to join our Athletics Program as the full-time Sports Information Director.</p> <p>The Sports Information Director (SID) is responsible for all tasks related to planning, management, organization/coordination, and implementation of sports information, athletic communications, and media relations. The SID will prepare and distribute all athletic publications/press releases, ensure that information displayed on the official Athletics website is accurate and updated in a timely manner, and will maintain and distribute all statistics, rosters and results, as necessary. This position submits all requested information to the NCAA and AMCC opponents on time, and, in collaboration with the VP for Athletics & Community Outreach, responds to requests from news media, conference officials, etc. in a professional manner.</p> <p>The SID works closely with the Marketing & Communications Department to create and produce short videos to showcase Athletic teams and the Athletics Department as a whole. Also maintains an active presence on the Athletics social media outlets in order to highlight teams, promote games/matches, etc. This position plays a significant role in game day operations by way of coordination of logistics and supervision and delegation of game day tasks to student workers. Also responsible to maintain and preserve historical records and statistics for the Athletics Department.</p> <p>The SID directly supervises 1 Graduate Assistant (Sports Information), as well as multiple student workers involved in game day operations.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or a related field of study required. Master's degree preferred. At least two years' experience in sports information and/or athletics communications and/or sports journalism preferred. Must be knowledgeable of NCAA Division III philosophy, rules and regulations. Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills also required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Suite also required. Knowledge of sports statistics software and familiarity with current social media platforms preferred.</p> <p>Ability to work independently and as a team member is highly valued. The successful candidate must be able to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail, high degree of professionalism and a demonstrated ability to maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality is required.</p> <p>This is a full-time, 12-month, benefit-eligible position. While some flexibility in scheduling exists, this position is on campus in Cresson, PA, and is not eligible for remote work.
