<p>What you'll do</p> <p>4 Open Positions</p> <p>Provides general labor duties for State & federal Surplus: loads & unloads trucks; moves merchandise to specific location in warehouse; maintains clean warehouse (e.g., sweeps, mops, dusts); operates mechanical equipment (e.g., trucks, manual & electric hand jacks, carts) associated with movement of surplus property; operates truck when needed for pick up & delivery of surplus property; reports any mechanical equipment problems that may occur to immediate supervisor.</p> <p>Assists in vehicle lot: drives & parks cars in vehicle lot; writes information on vehicle windshield; provides assistance during auction; other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division. In accordance with Section 124.11 (B)(2) of Revised Code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.</p> <ul> <li>Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. </li></ul> <p>Job Skills: Transportation</p> <p>Knowledge of:</p> <ol> <li>Safety Practices </li></ol> <p>Skill in:</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Manual labor procedures & use of associated tools &/or equipment (e.g., electric palate jack) </li></ol> <p>Ability to:</p> <ol start="3"> <li> <p>Carry out detailed but basic written or oral instructions</p> </li><li> <p>Recognize safety warnings</p> </li><li> <p>Work alone on most tasks</p> </li><li> <p>Cooperate with co-workers on group projects</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate strength to lift up to 75 lbs</p> </li><li> <p>Obtain and maintain valid driver's license</p> </li></ol>
