<p>Job Title Graduate Assistant for Sorority & Fraternity Life Special Instructions to Applicants Posting Number 20161596STD Job Description</p> <p>The graduate assistant will support the professional staff in providing oversight to Ohio University's social sororities and fraternities. Expected start date is fall (August 2025).</p> <p>Specific responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the planning and implementation of programming initiatives such as, but not limited to, homecoming week, Greek week, all council meetings, etc. </li><li>Assist in the programmatic initiatives for the sorority and fraternity community including but not limited to All Greek leadership development programs, retreats and conferences, hazing prevention programming, sober monitor training, etc. </li><li>Advise the Greek Standards Board, that oversees all judicial aspects of the Greek Community Standards Agreement. </li><li>Serve as a chapter coach to various PC, IFC, NPHC and MGC member organizations. </li><li>Attend all leadership retreats and conferences deemed necessary for student leadership development. </li><li>Attend all Division of Student Affairs (DOSA) programs, meetings, and events where necessary. </li><li>Fulfill other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Must be a graduate student applying/enrolled at the Ohio University Athens campus</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Affiliation with a social fraternity or sorority (preferred but not required) </li></ul> <p>Department VP For Student Affairs Pay Rate</p> <p>$13,500 (plus tuition waiver)</p> <p>Posting Open Date 03/03/2025 Posting End Date 04/15/2025 Job Category Student Hourly Planning Unit Vice President for Student Affairs Work Schedule</p> <ul> <li>Graduate Assistants are expected to work a total of 300 hours over the course of the semester. This time will begin three weeks prior to the start of the semester (for staff orientation and training) and conclude at the end of the semester (typically prior to finals week). This averages out to approximately 20 hours per week. </li><li>Some evening and weekend work required. </li><li>Must be available to assist in Opening Weekend activities. </li><li>Participation in Division of Student Affairs and University committees is expected. </li></ul> <p>Campus Athens Applicants may contact this person if they have questions about this position.
