<p>Dematic is seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Modifications and Upgrades team. The Mechanical Engineering team performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives while on multi-discipline project teams. The ideal candidate will be passionate about engineering projects through to completion, building relationships with customers, and undertaking opportunity in a growing industry and team.</p> <p>We offer:</p> <p>What you Will Do in This Role:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Own and execute mechanical engineering scope for assigned Amazon modernization/retrofit projects</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure project targets are met for quality, on-time delivery, and cost. Anticipate issues and address proactively where appropriate</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain up-to-date project log through department project tracking tool</p> </li><li> <p>Regularly report on project portfolio performance including but not limited to: on-time delivery, budget, quality, risks</p> </li><li> <p>Own short-term monthly forecast across assigned projects regardless of resource reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes the design of complex systems that integrate hardware and software.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes complex material specification, schematic preparation and appropriate follow-up.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills to deal with most situations.</p> </li><li> <p>Master understanding of project schedule and budget for Mechanical Engineering functions.</p> </li></ul> <p>What We are Looking For:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>At least 5 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer, but 8+ years is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in CET Configura and Autocad is highly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiar with Amazon DC installation type (ARS, IXD, SSD, Air Hub, non-sort).</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with Amazon specific MTBH, rates, and sub-system designs.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiar with Amazon design specifications.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong background in Material Handling/automation industry.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in a Mechanical Engineering position that is project-based (design to installation).</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills/presentation skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of moderately complex assignments.</p> </li><li> <p>Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates, trains and works with customer for final system design.</p> </li><li> <p>Travels up to 20% of the time to different customer locations/Dematic locations</p> </li></ul> <p>Tasks and Qualifications:</p> <p>See Above</p>
