<p>Facilities Technician</p> <p>Location: Bethel, CT</p> <p>Payrate: $19 / hour</p> <p>Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | On-site</p> <p>Ability Beyond is seeking a Facilities Technician to support the maintenance and repair of our residential and program facilities. This role is hands-on and essential to ensuring our environments are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The Facilities Technician will perform routine maintenance, respond to urgent repairs, and support preventative maintenance efforts across agency properties.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform general facility maintenance including painting, drywall repair, and minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work </li><li>Complete preventative maintenance and respond to corrective work orders using CMMS (Salesforce) </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues across buildings, equipment, and grounds </li><li>Support HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs and upkeep </li><li>Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to address after-hours emergencies </li><li>Coordinate with external vendors and provide updates on work progress </li><li>Conduct routine inspections and identify opportunities for facility improvements </li><li>Maintain tools, equipment, and agency vehicles in clean and working condition </li><li>Assist with furniture assembly, locksmith tasks, and other facility-related projects </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required </li><li>2+ years of facilities, maintenance, or related experience </li><li>Experience across multiple trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry) preferred </li><li>Trade school certification or OSHA/NFPA certifications are a plus </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently </li><li>Ability to respond to urgent situations, including after-hours calls as needed </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Generous benefits package (medical, dental, vision, pet insurance) </li><li>Paid time off (increases over years of service) </li><li>Self-directed retirement plan options (403B) </li><li>PSLF loan forgiveness eligibility </li><li>Access to an Employee Assistance Program including mental health resources </li><li>Ongoing diversity, equity, inclusion, & belonging initiatives </li></ul>
