<p>Job Description Summary</p> <p>The Occupational Therapist II reports to the Lead Occupational Therapist III or the Rehabilitation Therapy Manager. The Occupational Therapist II develops, supervises and provides optimal patient care services as referred by physician for Occupational Therapy, based on population-specific needs utilizing a developmental and patient/family directed approach. Supervises volunteers, Occupational Therapy Aides, and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Under the general supervision of the Lead Occupational Therapist III, acts as a mentor and expert in specific clinical area. Provides clinical education experiences for OT and OTA students. Participates in professional development and shares clinical knowledge and expertise with others. The Occupational Therapist II works in the out-patient setting.</p> <p>Additional Job Description</p> <p>Education: Graduation from an accredited school for Occupational Therapy Assistants required. Experience: At least one year of experience as Occupational Therapy Assistant and demonstrated competence in treating all patient types as well as independence in managing a full caseload. Certification/Licensure: Licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the South Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy and registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
