Number 15090</p> <p>Share</p> <p>more</p> <p>The Rohde & Schwarz Frederick Production produces custom VCS (Voice Communication System) Racks, Body Scanners, and any other Rohde & Schwarz products for governmental and non-governmental projects. We are looking for someone to join our world-class operations team to continue to deliver these high-quality products. This individual will be joining our production team and will focus his/her talents in the work center responsible for the production of VCS racking/cabling and delivering system support devices. They will be responsible for executing against our existing build and delivery processes. Working within our continuous improvement program, it will be important for this individual to use LEAN practices to help meet our customers' requirements.</p> <p>Your tasks</p> <ul> <li>Perform rack installations of VCS systems, including communication components, coax, connectors, grounding hardware, cable supports, splitters, fiber optic cables, CAT6 cabling, power distribution components, and other communication subassemblies. </li><li>Read, interpret, and follow system wiring diagrams, routing drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and configuration documentation with a high level of accuracy. </li><li>Route, label, terminate, and secure all cable connections (data, fiber, power, grounding) according to project specifications and applicable to regulated industry standards. </li><li>Follow company industry standard installation procedures. </li><li>Use hand and power tools such as crimpers, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, digital multimeters, label makers, laptops, and material handling equipment. </li><li>Maintain organized workstations and apply LEAN practices into daily work including Kaizen Events, A3 Documentation, 5S practices, One Piece Flow and others. </li><li>Complete required documentation, including as built records, cable logs, quality checklists, and configuration control updates. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Exciting insights into Rohde & Schwarz</p> <p>Our colleagues provide insider information about:</p> <ul> <li>Daily adventures and challenges </li><li>Our passionate team </li><li>The technologies behind the innovative projects and solutions </li></ul> <p>Your browser does not support the video tag</p> <p>Your qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with racks hardware installation, communication racks, cable routing, and grounding connector. </li><li>Trained in ESD safe handling techniques and proper handling of sensitive electronic equipment. </li><li>Strong troubleshooting abilities with the skill to identify assembly issues, cable faults, and configuration problems. </li><li>Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and VCS system documentation. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate with engineering, quality, and onsite customer representatives. </li><li>Experience supporting the production of complex assemblies in a regulated environment (Air Traffic Control or similar preferred). </li><li>Ability to fabricate and test data cables (coax, fiber, Ethernet) is a plus. </li><li>Ability to work within a Quality Management System (QMS) and complete traceability documentation. </li><li>Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus. </li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders as required. </li><li>U.S. Citizenship or permanent work authorization required. </li></ul> <p>Interested?</p> <p>We are looking forward to receiving your application!</p> <p>This is a full time hourly position. The total compensation for this position is $26-$43 per hour. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level.
