<p>About the Opportunity</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Department of Music is seeking a part-time faculty member to conduct the Department of Music Treble Chamber Choir for the 2025-2026 academic year (fall and spring). This position is for a skilled musician in the art of conducting choral ensembles and vocal development of collegiate treble voices. This is a part-time role that coordinates with the director of choirs at Northeastern University.</p> <p>Rehearsals are on Wednesday 4:35pm - 5:40pm. There are two performances each semester that fall on a Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Advanced Degree in Music with an emphasis in choral conducting </li><li>Advance training in vocal pedagogy (preferred) </li><li>Experience in teaching collegiate treble choir and working with singers at various stages of vocal development and musicianship </li><li>Creative programming of choral repertoire (traditional, contemporary and global music) </li><li>Demonstrate artistic experience as both solo and ensemble vocal performing artist </li></ul> <p>To be considered for this position, please submit a CV and cover letter.</p> <p>Position Type</p> <p>Academic</p> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Northeastern University considers factors such as candidate work experience, education and skills when extending an offer.</p> <p>Northeastern has a comprehensive benefits package for benefit eligible employees.
