With multiple locations in Bridgeport, Stratford, and Stamford, our mission is to be a lifelong health care partner, dedicated to achieving optimal wellness for the communities we serve.</p> <p>Join our team-based model of care delivered in a kind and compassionate manner.</p> <p>We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Security Guard for our location in Bridgeport, CT</p> <ul> <li>CT Guard Card Required* </li></ul> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Responsible for the security of employees, patients, and visitors, and for the detection of hazardous or unsafe conditions.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. </li><li>Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers. </li><li>Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements. </li><li>Turn on the security system and lights in the health center. </li><li>Unlock necessary hall doors for staff entry. </li><li>Secure and lock buildings at the close of business. </li><li>Implement the instructions for Evacuation as instructed by the Director of Facilities. </li><li>Work according to the schedule decided at the weekly department staff meeting. </li><li>Attend the department and all staff meetings. </li><li>Comply with company's mission, Infection Control, OSHA, DPH rules and regulation. </li><li>Must maintain appropriate attendance. </li><li>Performs miscellaneous duties as required by management. </li></ul> <p>JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of relevant public safety codes and security procedures </li><li>Attention to their environment and premises as well as attention to small details </li><li>Sufficient verbal and written communications skills to perform the tasks required. </li><li>Ability to read and follow instructions. </li><li>Ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. </li><li>Ability to respect patients including those who have impaired cognition. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate preferred or GED </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>One to two years' experience as security personnel </li><li>Flexibility to work days, weekends and evenings as required. </li><li>Flexibility to work at multiple sites </li></ul> <p>LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bi-Lingual preferred (Spanish) but not required</p> <p>LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:</p> <p>Connecticut driver's license required</p> <p>Active guard card issued by the State of Connecticut</p> <p>To be part of our organization, every employee should understand and share in Optimus' Vision, support our Mission, and live our Values.
