<p>Software Engineer - Trading RFQ Engine Development Job ID: 25-10688</p> <p>Job Title: Software Engineer - Trading RFQ Engine Development</p> <p>Location: New York, NY (100% Remote - can go into the NY office if interested)</p> <p>Duration: 6 months</p> <p>Contract Type: W2 only</p> <p>Pay Rate: $103.44/Hour</p> <p>Business Objective:</p> <ul> <li>We are building the Credit Trader Workstation (CTW), a central platform for all Credit Trading activities. Currently, multiple systems are in place across US and Canadian desks. </li><li>The goal is to simplify and integrate everything into a single, streamlined platform. </li><li>Integration with DSTS is complete; the next key initiative is integrating Bloomberg TOMS, with a focus on pricing components and an upcoming build of an RFQ (Request for Quote) engine and auto-hedging system. </li></ul> <p>Role Overview:</p> <ul> <li>This is a server-side, low-latency, Core Java development role. </li><li>The integration work is largely complete, and we are now focused on expanding the development of new functionality. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Core Java server-side development focused on low-latency data structures </li><li>Work closely with the Fixed Income (FI) trading teams to understand workflows, specifically related to pricing </li><li>Build and enhance systems dealing with Preferred Stocks, Corporate Bonds, Munis, Investment Grade products, TIPS, REITs, Money Market Funds, and Credit Trading instruments </li><li>Develop and integrate a net new RFQ engine and auto-hedging system </li><li>Contribute to pricing components relayed to external systems </li><li>Day 1 contributions expected in Core Java unit testing, code pipelines, builds, and deployment processes </li><li>Participate in a highly technical, fast-paced environment and quickly ramp up on Fixed Income concepts and platform-specific integrations </li></ul> <p>Must Have Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years - strong Core Java development experience, particularly on server-side, low-latency systems </li><li>Hands-on experience with data structures and scalable, high-performance platforms </li><li>Strong understanding of full software development lifecycle including unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment </li><li>Ability to pick up complex concepts quickly with minimal supervision - teachable </li><li>Strong Java knowledge - the candidate should be able to write clean, working Java code with little to no guidance </li><li>Data structures and algorithms - depending on the problem, the candidate should be able to identify the appropriate data structure and devise an efficient algorithm </li><li>Communication - this is critical. Without clear communication, the candidate may misunderstand the question or fail to articulate their solution effectively </li></ul> <p>Nice To Haves:</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to Capital Markets (CM) or Fixed Income (FI) concepts (coupon rate, fixed rate coupons, bond pricing) is a strong plus but not required </li><li>Familiarity with Fixed Income instruments is a plus (not quant pricing, but general bond pricing knowledge) </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Post secondary degree - Bachelors in Computer Science or Financial Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Job details</p> </li><li></li></ul>
