Previous in vitro experience with primary cells (eg: adipocytes, myotubes, hepatocytes etc.) is highly desired. The position will require ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple tasks, quickly learn new techniques, organize tasks efficiently and keep records accurately. Ability to interact well with scientific colleagues and work effectively in a team-oriented environment will be necessary.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform laboratory-based assays in BSL2/ BSL2+ environment for validation of potential drug development targets and to characterize diverse therapeutics. </li><li>Independently conduct experiments and analyze data. </li><li>Operate and maintain the relevant equipment. </li><li>Maintain electronic notebook. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor or Master of Science degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a laboratory of academia or industry. </li><li>Prior working experience with in vitro cell based pharmacology assays using human or rodent primary cells. </li><li>Prior working experience with rodent tissue or plasma samples is a plus. </li><li>Proficient in assay development for testing compounds across different modalities. </li><li>Hands-on experience with cell-based and molecular biology assays, such as flow cytometry, immunoblot, ELISA/MSD and qPCR etc. </li></ul> <p>At Flagship, we recognize there is no perfect candidate.
