<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Performs audits and testing of procedures and products that are part of the manufacturing process. Assists sub-plant employees in troubleshooting quality issues. Responsible for product safety and quality.</p> <p>Job Elements & Position Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Performs random audits on systems, procedures, and product </li><li>Performs functional testing of product and measurements </li><li>Performs other inspections and tests (incl. environmental, product, and process) as required </li><li>Assists manufacturing employees and management with backtracking and troubleshoots quality-related issues that affect the quality of the product or customer requirements </li><li>Participates in sub plant problem solving efforts and activities (CAPA, A3, 8D, etc) </li><li>Performs Certificate of Analysis (COA) testing of finished product as required </li><li>Approves COA and coordinates communication with customers </li><li>Investigates complaints received and reports finding to the appropriate parties </li><li>Performs backtracking on quality issues </li><li>Updates and maintains procedure and defect manuals and acts as a document control coordinator </li><li>Certifies the training of Assembly Technicians </li><li>Assists with and provides training to Assembly Technicians </li><li>Enters, closes and makes user decisions on Quality Notifications </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Must possess High School diploma or GED </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years of experience as an Assembly Technician </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Must possess basic math skills </li><li>Must be able to sit for a majority (85%) of the shift </li><li>Must be able to stand (20%) and walk (40%) for a portion of the shift </li><li>Must be able to lift/move up to approximately 10 pounds (up to 30% of the shift), reach above shoulder (1% of the shift) and bend (2% of the shift). Must be able to periodically handle finished goods boxes weighing up to 35 lbs (2% of shift). </li><li>Must be able to scoop component part weighing approximately 1 pound </li><li>Must have the ability to thread tubing </li><li>Must have good vision in order to perform visual inspection duties </li><li>Must be able to hear warning signals and verbal alerts to avoid injury during manufacturing process </li><li>Must be able to work as a member of a team, have high energy level and be able to work well under pressure </li><li>Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues </li><li>Must be able to discern shades of color and color differences relating to component parts used in the manufacturing process </li><li>Must be able to climb steps </li><li>Must be able to read various inspection gages </li><li>Must have PC skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word and electronic mail software </li></ul> <p>Marginal Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Enter data into computer as required </li><li>Provides back up support to other areas in the absence of Quality Technicians </li></ul> <p>Non-Mandatory Job Qualifications (Not absolutely required, but enhance chance for success)</p> <ul> <li>ASQ Certifications (CQI, CQT, CQA). </li></ul>
