<p>Highlands Elementary School is seeking a first grade classroom teacher. This position begins in the 2026-2027 school year.</p> <p>The successful candidate will possess the appropriate Massachusetts Educator License and will be responsible for all aspects of the class including lesson planning, teaching, monitoring students' growth through data analysis, and working with families.</p> <p>Classroom teacher responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>support students' social, emotional, and academic development </li><li>create an environment that is positive for student learning and involvement </li><li>maintain appropriate standards of behavior, mutual respect, and safety </li><li>Plan instruction effectively </li><li>co-plan lessons with colleagues </li><li>teach the curricula identified by the district </li><li>monitor students/ understanding of the curriculum and adjust instruction, material, or </li></ul> <p>assessments when appropriate</p> <ul> <li>communicate with families </li><li>share responsibility for accomplishing the goals and priorities of the grade/team/department, </li></ul> <p>building and school district.</p> <ul> <li>work cooperatively with colleagues, administrators and other school personnel. </li><li>other duties as assigned by the principal </li></ul> <p>Salary: Salary scale can be found in the BEA Collective Bargaining Agreement's recent MOA: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YaoFdRvNjcM4RHv_WvNHRQzHsPOFrhUh/view</p> <p>Start Date: September 1, 2026</p>
