Our recruiters look forward to speaking with you about your background, skills, and compensation requirements.</p> <p>Schedule: Monday through Friday 3:00 PM -11:30 PM with overtime as needed</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <ol> <li> <p>Diagnose and repair equipment, to include electric lift trucks, liquid propane, gas, and diesel engines, electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, differentials, hydraulic systems, brake systems, steering systems, electrical systems, lifting systems, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Rebuild and/or repair all components and systems in industrial material handling equipment and other related equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Per company safety guidelines, properly block, chock and chain equipment, and disassemble equipment as needed to facilitate major component removal and repair</p> </li><li> <p>Perform routine and operational maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run according to manufacturer's specifications</p> </li><li> <p>Perform advanced diagnostic troubleshooting and failure analysis on all components and systems</p> </li><li> <p>Perform equipment inspections to identify potential problems and safety concerns</p> </li><li> <p>Perform basic welding as necessary</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to operate forklifts</p> </li><li> <p>Record maintenance and repair work performed by completing necessary paperwork in a timely manner</p> </li><li> <p>Complete basic and advanced technical training as assigned</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain parts and supplies needed for job completion</p> </li><li> <p>Act as a technical resource and provide support for team members, as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a culture of safety & participate in all safety meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other related duties as assigned</p> </li></ol> <p>Basic Knowledge & Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Thorough knowledge of all equipment & operations that apply to the material handling equipment industry </li><li>Excellent mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge and problem-solving skills </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li></ul> <p>Previous Experience/Education:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent required </li><li>Mechanical or trade school certificate preferred </li><li>5+ years' experience in forklift repair or related industry </li><li>Ability to read precision instruments such as micrometers, meters, dial indicators, bore gauges, etc. </li><li>Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience preferred </li><li>Valid driver's license required </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis </li><li>Ability to lift up to 75 pounds </li><li>Successfully pass pre-employment background and drug screening </li></ul> <p>Saddle Creek is an Equal Opportunity employer and an Affirmative Action employer, as required by law.
