<p>Position Title: Physical Education Teacher/Health Teacher</p> <p>Grade Level: 6th - 8th grade</p> <p>Teaching Certificate Required: Physical Education Teaching License, Health License preferred.</p> <p>Previous Teaching Experience Required: None required</p> <p>General Description of Position Duties: Primarily a Physical Education and Health Teacher; ECA opportunities.</p> <p>Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required or Desired: Ability to work with middle school students and parents, to work within a department, specifically on PLC team, and must have a strong understanding of physical education pedagogy. Experience using instructional technology such as Canvas, iPad and MacBook Air devices.</p> <p>Physical and Mental Efforts:</p> <ul> <li>This position requires a high level of physical and mental endurance </li><li>Sitting in an office/classroom environment, performing tasks on a computer or other technical devices. </li><li>Frequent standing, particularly for sustained periods of time </li><li>Frequent walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one part of the building to another. </li><li>Constantly talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas to colleagues and/or students accurately, loudly, or quickly </li><li>Ability to hear and listen to detailed information through oral communication. </li><li>Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
