<p>Construction Estimator</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are a leading vertical construction firm with a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-performance facilities in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, clean room, laboratory, and commercial sectors. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates. </li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing. </li><li>Prepare quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for all construction divisions (CSI format). </li><li>Evaluate and incorporate constructability, logistics, and schedule impacts into estimates. </li><li>Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations. </li><li>Collaborate with project teams to transition estimates into budgets and support project execution. </li><li>Maintain historical cost data and benchmarking tools for future estimating efforts. </li><li>Identify and assess risks and opportunities in project scopes and pricing strategies. </li><li>Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client-specific requirements. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or clean room environments. </li><li>Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and industry best practices. </li><li>Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating, ProEst, or similar). </li><li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with LEED, GMP, and other regulatory standards. </li><li>Experience in estimating for hospital renovations, biotech labs, clean rooms, and commercial office spaces. </li><li>Working knowledge of MEP systems and their impact on cost and constructability. </li><li>Experience with design-build and CM-at-Risk project delivery methods. </li><li>PMP certification. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment includes working from 7am to 4pm at sites located in Connecticut (Fairfield, Hartford, New Haven counties) and one in Poughkeepsie, NY.
