<p>Overview</p> <p>This "Co-op - Software & IoT Testing" position is a member of the BISSELL Product Approval & Test team, working with the product engineering Test engineers and technicians to develop new test techniques & equipment, execute both new and established tests on new product designs & software, and document performance results. The Co-op will work closely with his/her supervisor and a cross-functional team to help perform software validation and verification tests, and develop new test tools & techniques, under direct supervision.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support Test engineers and technicians with the development of new test techniques and equipment for evaluating the robustness & performance of new product designs and their software. </li><li>Support Test engineers and technicians by carrying out some of the performance tests that are part of the product evaluation test plan for new product designs. </li><li>Actively engages in learning/developmental activities, enhancing personal knowledge, skill and potential career growth. </li><li>Help support the enhancement of some of the old and/or new tests & equipment with automation. </li><li>Summarize the learning and activities and present to the PD&E Electronics leadership group and peers. </li><li>May be required to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>why BISSELL?</p> <p>Students at BISSELL enjoy the ability to work in a global organization (North America's leading Floorcare brand) cross-collaboratively across several business functions. We have a dedication to the business (we work hard!) but we also know how to have fun too.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Applicants MUST be currently enrolled at an accredited, four-year university majoring in Electrical Engineering, EE technology, IT, Computer Science, or a closely related field.</p> <ul> <li>Specific concentration: Software Development, Electronics, &/or Robotics preferred </li></ul> <p>SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR SKILLS REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with programming required (ideally in Python). </li><li>Aptitude for testing & troubleshooting electronic devices & their software. </li><li>Ability to interpret engineering design documents i.e., schematics, drawings, & software code. </li><li>Aptitude for disassembling and properly reassembling consumer products. </li><li>Ability to prioritize and multitask multiple job assignments. </li><li>Attention to detail, resourceful, creative thinker/problem solver. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.) </li><li>Proficiency in the use of standard laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering iron, other test instrumentation and hand tools).
