<p>Western Michigan University invites applications for the position of Faculty Specialist II - Clinical Specialist in the WMU Bronson School of Nursing. This is a 1-year term, academic year (9-month) position.</p> <p>Major Duties</p> <ul> <li>Teaching courses in the Nursing curriculum online, hybrid and traditional formats including simulations in the laboratory setting. </li><li>Supervise and instruct professional nursing students to work with clinical health problems, health and wellness promotion with individuals, groups and communities. </li><li>Contribute to the missions of the School, College, and University. </li><li>Service to the Department, the University, the profession, and the community . </li><li>Contributing to an interdisciplinary environment of instruction, and community collaborations. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution. </li><li>Clinical expertise in one or more of the following areas: Medical surgical, obstetrics, or community nursing. </li><li>Current unencumbered Michigan registered nurse license from an accredited institution. </li><li>Teaching experience in a baccalaureate program in clinical areas, laboratory settings, on-line and/or classroom. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Community-based, interdisciplinary, inter-institutional experience/background preferred. </li><li>Evidence of technological literacy and on-line instruction preferred. </li></ul> <p>Special Instructions to Applicants</p> <p>Faculty Credential Summary; a letter describing qualifications, accomplishments, and professional experiences related to the position; curriculum vitae, and names, titles, postal and email addresses and telephone numbers of three (3) professional references.</p> <p>Additional Position Information</p> <p>Go to: wmich.edu/hr/employees/faculty for benefits and other information.</p>
