<p>Under the direction of the Supervisor, Slot Floor, the Slot Attendant provides prompt service to guests in the gaming area; expediting service calls, fixing minor machine errors, and keeping the gaming floor clean and organized. Verifies jackpots, expediting jackpot paperwork, and accurately paying jackpot payouts. Continuously roams assigned areas to ensure a clean and safe gaming environment is provided and to give excellent service that is prompt, courteous, and efficient.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ol> <li> <p>Maintains floor presence to provide prompt service to meet established service standards while roaming an assigned section and conducting cash transactions with guests in a prompt and accurate manner. Responds to service calls via smart device or radio to ensure prompt service to guests. Required to operate efficiently in a dynamic environment,addressing service-related needs in assigned area(s) including assisting guests with questions or needs, cleaning slot area by pushing-in chairs, throwing away trash, emptying ashtrays, or assisting team members with their responsibilities. Answers customer questions regarding different games offered and instructs guests on the proper play of games. Helps to ensure rules of play are followed.</p> </li><li> <p>Assesses and fixes minor machine and printer repairs, replaces ticket paper, verifies machine claims and information to determine outcome of claim; notifies supervisor when necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Verifies accuracy of large transactions and tax paperwork along with accurately identifying winning guests while paying single jackpots up to $50,000 or handling up to $25,000 in combined jackpot winnings on the floor in crowded areas. Cashes tickets for guests (per approved procedures: system outages, handicapped patrons, etc.). Responds to jackpot calls in a prompt manner. Responsible for verifying jackpot information on the machine and the correct jackpot winner. Accurately documents jackpot and guest information; must be able to explain game results that triggered in a jackpot win and the jackpot process to guests.</p> </li><li> <p>Periodically rotates into dispatch role. Must be prompt when addressing calls, accurate with information, follow up on pending calls, relay messages to staff and management, and record and dispatch calls for team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Immediately report all unsafe conditions, all incidents of loitering, panhandling, or unlawful activity as well as report all unusual or suspicious activity. Attends require training and maintains knowledge of each respective area. Provides verbal and written statements that account for observations and assists management during investigations.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned to support the e?cient operation of the department.</p> </li></ol> <p>EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or GED required.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum one (1) year casino and/or previous cash handling experience required.</p> </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must have knowledge of general arithmetic and its application to monetary transactions and/or machine payout amounts; must possess the ability to calculate percentages.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to speak and write the English language for required communication.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be proficient at handling large amounts of money, while performing cash transactions with customers.</p> </li></ul> <p>LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.</p> </li><li> <p>No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver's license or insurance.</p> </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS - ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>The physical demands and working environment described here are representative of those that an employee encounters and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled casino setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.</p> </li><li> <p>Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.</p> </li><li> <p>Sedentary work: involves standing most of the time and may sit at times. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.</p> </li><li> <p>Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.</p> </li><li> <p>Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.</p> </li><li> <p>Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.</p> </li><li> <p>Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.</p> </li><li> <p>Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.</p> </li><li> <p>The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.</p> </li></ul> <p>Reasonable accommodation will be made in compliance with all applicable law.</p> <p>As one of the largest private employers in the Inland Empire, San Manuel deeply cares about the future, growth and well-being of its employees.
