<p>Position Information:</p> <p>Location: Orange, CT</p> <p>Salary Range: $114,300 - $142,900</p> <p>Schedule: On Site - Office</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Supervises Contractors, Avangrid Gas Supervisors and/or Union Gas Specialists associated with large scale capital projects for Program Gas Line replacements, Gate Station regulation and modernization, and District Regulator upgrades. Knowledge of gas distribution and transmission systems. Oversees, plans and schedules new construction work, inspections and training activities in accordance with Northeast Gas Association standards, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration and Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities regulatory requirements. Ensures that construction is completed in accordance with construction standards, following approved policies, procedures, safety rules and budgets. May interact with customers (internal & external) to solve problems/concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.</p> <p>Candidate must have at least 10 years of very strong gas Construction & Maintenance experience Must have administrative, communication and decision-making abilities. Strong leadership/managerial skiils required</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Plans and oversees work of gas departments. Supervises to ensure safe and efficient operation of the daily field activities of both Company and various contractor construction crews. May resolve customer issues when needed. May provide assistance to Technical Services on new construction and rebuilding existing infrastructure.</p> <p>Schedules the work of line or street crews. Manage the scope of projects and assigns the appropriate crew and skills balance. Arranges for any special equipment and ensures that all material needs are met.</p> <p>Administers damage claims and billing, leak reports, time sheets, store orders, job kitting, work order balancing, material review, compliance with safety rules and regulations, standards of excellence and/or service guarantees. Monitors accuracy of Gas Records for auditing purposes and ensure compliance.</p> <p>Oversees construction office and support budget management. May coordinate department activities with local and state highway departmental officials.</p> <p>Coordinates safety training, documentation, inspections, and accident investigations. May conduct contractor evaluations in support of project awards.</p> <p>Oversight inspections to support Bare Steel & Cast-Iron Piping replacements, Gate Stations, District Regulator upgrades.</p> <p>Incumbent will require company certification to Avangrid Construction Standards and Operator Qualifications (OQ's) as prescribed by Northeast Gas Association ( www.northeastgas.org ) standards to support Field Oversight.</p> <p>Experience with Plastic pipe fusion, Electrofusion and Plastic Welding Process.</p> <p>Experience with Pipeline construction, low pressure natural gas District Regulators and high pressure transmission to district gas Gate Stations process piping.</p> <p>Pipeline oversight, Piping Fabrication, Welding background along with certifications in Non-Destructive Testing are highly desired. Strong understanding with API-1104 welding code, Weld Traveler and Weld Map development and oversight.
