<p>Job Title: Medical Lab Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>This role involves following laboratory policies and procedures to perform both high and moderate complexity testing. The technician will handle pre-analytical and post-analytical laboratory support functions, maintaining clear communication with team members to optimize laboratory operations.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Accurately and efficiently perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes for laboratory testing. </li><li>Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment according to manufacturer's instructions. </li><li>Perform and evaluate all required quality control assessments as described in departmental policies and procedures prior to reporting patient results. </li><li>Evaluate results of laboratory tests according to laboratory protocols to ensure quality patient care. </li><li>Document all laboratory activities according to policies and procedures. </li><li>Maintain and demonstrate competency assessment in assigned area. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>ASCP certification or equivalent. </li><li>Experience in medical and clinical laboratory settings. </li><li>Proficiency in urinalysis and microbiology. </li><li>Familiarity with equipment such as Beckman Coulter. </li><li>Knowledge of chemistry, biology, and medical technology. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree in clinical laboratory science, biological, or chemical science. </li><li>Certification by ASCP or equivalent. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based in a pathology laboratory environment located at Cleveland. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
