<p>Job Title</p> <p>Material Processor Lead</p> <p>Travel or Shift Work</p> <p>The work schedule is Monday-Thursday 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM CST</p> <p>Job Purpose (Why job exists)</p> <p>Provide a summary of the job's purpose and objectives</p> <p>This job is responsible for working with the Supervisors and assisting in training and developing the team, monitoring production performance, ensuring production and quality controls are met while adhering to the work instructions for the area of responsibility.</p> <p>Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities</p> <p>Indicate % of time devoted to each accountability. % should total 100%.) Please describe the scope of duties involved in each area of responsibility/ accountability. If the responsibility spans the Assurant enterprise or has regional responsibilities, please indicate so.</p> <p>Generally, include the top 10-12 accountabilities/ responsibilities.</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of shop floor systems (CVision, Oracle, Unit Tracker, Great Plains, Ghost) </li><li>Participate in daily stand-up meetings with Supervisor </li><li>Participate in internal and external customer or vendor meetings </li><li>Work with Supervisor to reallocate resources (people/supplies/products etc.) as needed to meet customer goals </li><li>Work with other departments as needed to ensure proper workflow is achieved </li><li>Point of contact for employees for handling escalation issues </li><li>Work with Engineering to identify and resolve process issues </li><li>Ability to collaborate with other departments with their area of responsibility </li><li>Track and maintain daily attendance roster for Emergency Evacuation purposes </li><li>Participate with the 6S Audit team on monthly 6S audits </li><li>Work with supervisor to implement any changes or adjustments on production floor as a result from the audits </li><li>Forklift certified if needed for area of responsibility </li><li>Perform on-the-job (OJT) refresher training and work station assessment </li><li>Monitor inventory levels (WIP Aging) for specific area of responsibility </li><li>Monitor KPI and SLA performance levels and escalate any issues/concerns to supervisor when needed </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees </li><li>Must be proficient and certified in the area that they are responsible for leading </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Education: List the minimum level of education required in order for someone to perform this job) </li><li>Previous Experience: List the minimum number of years and type of experience required to perform the essential functions of the job. For example Customer Care Position: 1 year experience in a customer service function. </li><li>Knowledge and Skills: List the minimum level of knowledge & skills required for someone to perform the job </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>1-year experience as a Material Processor 2 </li><li>Occasional: Bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, exposure to changes in temperature, being near moving machinery, and office machinery </li><li>This position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and bar scanner </li><li>Employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, lift, carry and/or move up to 20 pounds </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus </li><li>Required to use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions </li><li>0% Travel </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li><li>Ability to use a personal computer and enter data </li><li>Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously </li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment </li><li>Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of company personnel </li></ul> <p>Environment/Physical Demands : This position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and phone. Employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, lift, carry and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
