<p>Overview</p> <p>The Debt Resolution Agent plays a critical role in minimizing losses on defaulted accounts through effective negotiation, strategic research, and collaboration with attorneys and collection partners. This position is responsible for evaluating collectability, pursuing legal and non-legal remedies, and balancing cost control with maximum recovery outcomes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable navigating complex legal and financial situations.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal laws related to commercial litigation, including the impact of bankruptcy. </li><li>Conduct in-depth research using multiple resources to assess the collectability of contracts and accounts. </li><li>Partner closely with a nationwide network of attorneys and collection agencies to pursue appropriate collection remedies. </li><li>Negotiate repayment terms within established approval authority guidelines. </li><li>Balance cost containment with recovery efforts to maximize returns and minimize losses. </li><li>Update and maintain accurate contract statuses on a monthly basis. </li><li>Apply working knowledge of bankruptcy processes and implications. </li><li>Support and assist with training and onboarding of new agents. </li></ul> <p>Requirements For Success</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or university OR </li><li>Six months to one year of related experience and/or training OR </li><li>An equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Proficiency with contract management systems, legal management systems, and Microsoft Office preferred. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with internal and external partners. </li><li>Well organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities. </li><li>Demonstrates good listening skills, excellent telephone etiquette, and strong interpersonal abilities. </li><li>Possesses thorough research and analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>Conditions of Employment</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to pass a criminal background & credit check </li><li>This is a full-time, non-remote position </li></ul> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>Ready to take your career to the next level?
