<p>Network Engineer II Job Description</p> <p>Title</p> <p>Network Engineer II</p> <p>Description</p> <p>As a Network Engineer II the person is expected to participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) operating independently on low-medium visibility engagements, with oversight on medium-high visibility efforts. The person is expected to have depth in one technical area with breadth across 2 or more technical areas with around 10 years of experience in the fields. Please note that this is a full-time, direct-hire role. Due to segments of our customer base, we cannot sponsor employment visas. This role is a Hybrid role and while some project phases will allow more remote work, others are more heavily onsite (4-5 days during customer training and lab testing) at various phases on the project in Elkridge, MD. This role is for a growing engineer to support large highly visible projects with a Baltimore area-based large national client with international multi-year projects. Must be able to travel internationally. Some occasional travel (about 1 week at a time) will be required both internationally and to our Kansas City Integration Center.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Supports projects as a Subject Matter Expert operating independently on low-medium visibility engagements, with oversight on medium-high visibility efforts with minimal day-to-day direction and complies with the BlueAlly quality of delivering services </li><li>Serve as a Technical/Delivery Lead on engagements of up to 1-2 people or lead dedicated parts of engagements with oversight from the overall technical lead </li><li>Able to create technical written documents (e.g., RFP response content, design and deployment deliverables) independently and accurately, with limited grammatical mistakes. </li><li>Escalation of project impacting issues to the Delivery Directors or other appropriate leadership </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements</p> <ul> <li>At least 10 years of experience in a relevant technology area </li><li>Able to understand specific, tangible client business requirements and with guidance, propose a technical solution. </li><li>Able, with collaboration, to determine that a technical solution will meet specific client business requirements </li><li>Can provide and link data in support of translating technical value into business benefits and ROI. </li><li>Able to support, with senior engineer guidance, the creation and delivery of presentations on specific technologies to technical-to-mid level client stakeholders. Confident speaking to up to 5 clients. </li><li>Able to comprehend project and financial information from our financial system and with guidance, compare/align to forecast(s). </li><li>Consistently maintains one's own forecast on respective efforts and reviews/directs team members to do so on engagements when serving as the delivery lead and/or project manager. </li><li>Able to cover Project Management if/as necessary on small efforts </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Must have at least one, current CCNP level certification </li><li>Bachelor's or above/equivalent </li></ul> <p>It would be great if?you also had</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Network Source of Truth (NSOT) solutions like NetBox </li><li>Experience with Python, Ansible, or other network automation tools </li><li>Experience with?Cisco firewalls, especially Cisco ASA or Firepower </li><li>Experience with network overlays (GRE) </li><li>Experience with Call Manager Express (CME) </li><li>Experience deploying AAA solutions like Cisco ISE or Aruba Clearpass for TACACS/RADIUS </li><li>Experience with the Linux operating system (Ubuntu) </li><li>Strong network troubleshooting skills </li></ul> <p>Work Conditions</p> <ul> <li>40-hour week and availability for off-hours work as required based on the project </li><li>Location: Hybrid.
