<p>Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Laser Operator for our client, a manufacturing and metal processing facility manufacturing saw blades. This role supports production by operating laser cutting equipment to process steel materials according to customer specifications. This position offers on-the-job training for candidates with mechanical aptitude who are interested in developing skills in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with equipment and materials in a production setting.</p> <p>Pay & Schedule</p> <p>Pay: $22-24/hour, DOE</p> <p>Shifts (in order of priority):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graveyard: Sunday-Wednesday, 8pm to 6:30am ($1.50/hr differential)</p> </li><li> <p>Swing: Monday - Friday, 2pm-10:30pm ($1/hr differential)</p> </li><li> <p>Day: Monday - Friday, 5:30am-2pm</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Operate laser cutting equipment to cut metal components to order specifications</p> </li><li> <p>Uncoil and feed steel into laser machines based on required gauge and width</p> </li><li> <p>Load and manage job files within the system to execute production orders</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor production to ensure quality, accuracy, and minimal material waste</p> </li><li> <p>Prioritize and complete orders efficiently while maintaining workflow</p> </li><li> <p>Perform basic machine adjustments including focus and height alignment</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with general maintenance and alignment of laser equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Use forklifts and cranes to safely load and unload materials</p> </li><li> <p>Track material usage and support inventory control processes</p> </li><li> <p>Dispose of scrap materials and maintain a clean work area</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to follow written instructions and production specifications</p> </li><li> <p>Strong attention to detail and quality control</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work graveyard shift</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience operating laser cutting equipment or similar machinery</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in metal processing or manufacturing environments</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with CNC or automated production equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with 3-axis horizontal mills is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with steel materials and production workflows</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>Comprehensive Medical Package</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Sick Leave</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Holidays</p> </li><li> <p>401(k) with Company Match</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role operates in a manufacturing environment working with steel materials and production equipment.
